Jana is a New York City based yoga teacher. She found yoga at the age of eighteen and began to deepen her study in her early twenties. Yoga was the tool that helped her transcend a youth riddled with drug abuse. She discovered deep meditative states in the movement and shapes of practice. The stillness that remained carved a path through the darkness, as the breath carried her to the light on the other side. Jana began teaching yoga in 2005. After a year and a half as a Registered Nurse, she was longing for a return to her passion, the sharing of the science of yoga. She has left nursing with an abundance of knowledge that reinforces her passion for self-care and wellness practices as preventive medicine.
